Study Acceleration Workshop for Undergraduate Students of Educational Technology

As part of its effort to prepare graduates who complete their studies on time and to support students in accelerating the completion of their final projects, the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology held an online Study Acceleration Workshop for undergraduate students of the Educational Technology program on Monday (18/3). The event was well received by students from the 2017 to 2021 cohorts. For sixth-semester students, the workshop served as an initiative to help expedite their study period, while for eighth-semester students and above, it became a forum to discuss challenges encountered during the completion of their final projects.

On this occasion, the Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Iis Prasetyo, M.M., who served as the resource person, highlighted several important points related to completing a final project. Among them were the need for students to have a clear strategy, avoid conflicts with their supervisors, stay focused, manage their time effectively, choose a topic they are genuinely interested in, and base their research on real-world problems.

During the final session, moderated by Suyantiningsih, M.Ed., several questions were raised regarding the availability of supervisors when students need consultation. Representing the department, the Head of Department, Dr. Sisca Rahmadonna, M.Pd., reaffirmed the commitment to ensure that lecturers in the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology remain available to provide the best guidance for students who are working on their final projects, ensuring that the supervision process runs smoothly. The implementation of the platform https://bimbingan.uny.ac.id/ for the supervision process is also expected to facilitate communication between lecturers and students. (bds*)
