EDUTECHNOPRENEURSHIP Graduate Profile of the Bachelor’s (S1) Program in Educational Technology

Edutechnopreneurship has been formulated as one of the graduate profiles of the Bachelor’s (S1) Program in Educational Technology. This was one of the outcomes of the curriculum development workshop for the Bachelor’s (S1), Master’s (S2), and Doctoral (S3) programs organized by the Indonesian Association of Educational Technology Study Programs (APS TPI) in Surabaya.

In this context, edutechnopreneurship is defined as the ability to develop business initiatives in the field of educational technology, think critically to produce creative and educational technology products, and successfully market them to relevant users. Another graduate profile of the S1 Educational Technology program is that of an educational technology practitioner who is expected to facilitate learning and improve performance in roles such as instructional designer, learning resource manager, media specialist, and evaluator in the field of education and training.

The curriculum development workshop was held from 29 February to 2 March 2024 and was attended by heads of S1, S2, and S3 Educational Technology study programs from 65 universities across Indonesia, including Universitas Negeri Medan, Universitas Negeri Padang, Universitas Sriwijaya, Universitas Negeri Lampung, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Bandung, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Singaraja Bali, Universitas Negeri Makassar, and many others.

The workshop began with presentations from several speakers:

(representing the S1 Educational Technology Program), accompanied by the Department Secretary, Suyantiningsih, M.Ed. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Haryanto, M.Pd. represented the S2 Educational Technology Program.

The curriculum development workshop also produced the graduate profiles for the Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) programs in Educational Technology. Graduates of the Master’s program are envisioned as educational technology developers capable of designing instructional/training systems, creating instructional messages, and developing learning resources. S2 graduates may also serve as academics, particularly as lecturers responsible for carrying out the Tri Dharma of higher education in undergraduate programs.

Graduates of the Doctoral (S3) program are envisioned as scholars capable of developing principles or theories in the field of Educational Technology, as well as academics who carry out the Tri Dharma at the S1, S2, and S3 levels. (cakmustaji & bds)
